      "Working Museum of Typography and Printing"
          Giving new generations of designers
               their historical context.

Dear Colleagues,

URGENT ADVICE

The ABC "Media Report" presenter visited this Museum
late last year and is running his report THIS THURSDAY
14 FEB 2008 on Radio National (621 AM in Melbourne and
on the net).

The Media Report goes to air at 0830 Thursdays and is
repeated after the news at 2000. Podcast and tran-
script also available after the event.

Full details and some pix are at:

<http://printingmuseums.com/ABC>

   .. with links to the appropriate pages on the ABC site.

We at the Museum are hoping to see you here this year,
perhaps with a booking for our Graphic Students' Workshop
[see link below] or at least a personal visit.

Hundreds of design students and their teachers attended
in 2007, along with dozens of artists who used our hand
typesetting and hand printing for lots of eye-catching
work.

But for viability the Museum needs your support, even if
you cannot actually attend.

Your support in helping us to shape our offering to the
needs of today's students and artists, as you see it, will
help.

It would be great if you could let us know your reaction,
positive or otherwise, in a brief email or call.

You can see the activities on our "GSW" web page:

<www.PrintingMuseums.com/museum/program/educ/students.htm>

[Note: all links in this message are also on our homepage.]

Our Museum is located near the City, just a few minutes
on the train or direct bus. SEE OUR MAP and directions at:

PUBLIC DAYS

We are open to the public on Sundays and Thursdays from
2 to 6 p.m.. We will be closed to the public for a while
over Christmas (last day 23 Dec, first day 17 Jan), but
you will be able to attend by appointment. See our "public
program" page:

<www.PrintingMuseums.com/museum/program/public/-visitor.htm>

OUR MUSEUM IN "THE AGE"

Follow the link here or on our home page to see what
The Age Metro wrote about the Museum on 13 September.

PLEASE HELP

It will help us greatly if you would please contact the
Museum by phone or email to let us know your reaction to
this message, and so we can know that this email has reached
you.

Or just ring up for a chat about printing, typography,
our programs, or anything. Ask for Michael.

By email, please send to "curator at PrintingMuseums.com"
and if you wish, include your phone number as well as your
preferred date or date-range for a free visit.

By phone, please call (03)9689 7555 and leave a message.

We are hoping to hear from you soon.

Regards,

{ michael }
