[artbooks] Ron McBurnie in Brisbane

Free talk at the State Library of Queensland

Contemporary visual artist, Ron McBurnie will give a free talk about 
designing and printing bookplates on Friday 9 November 2007 from 12noon - 
1pm. McBurnie’s quirky sense of humour and ability to see the world from a 
different perspective is reflected in his artwork which has a naïve 
realism that underplays its social commentary. He has designed bookplates 
for over 20 years.
This talk is presented as part of the Ex Libris: bookplates from our 
collections exhibition at the State Library of Queensland, in the Philip 
Bacon Heritage Gallery, Level 4.
