The State Library of Queensland's artists' books collection is one of 
Australia's moste xtensive. Discover the unique beauty of these hand-made 
limited edition artworks with Senior Librarian Helen Cole.

Ex Libris:
Bookplates from our collections

When books were rare and precious , the bookplate evolved as a creative 
and beautiful way of identifying the owner. Ex Libris, from the library of 
, is an exhibition of bookplates from the State Library of Queensland's 
collections. The exhibition also explores Book Crossings, where 
'ownerless' books circulate around teh world through processes of 
serendipitous exchange.
