City of Boroondara presents:

Just Looking!
Opening Night Thursday 22 November 2007 6pm-8pm
Exhibition Dates: Wednesday 21 November to Saturday 15 December 2007

Melbourne's best illustrators, comic book creators and zine makers are 
falling over themselves to be part of Just Looking!, the exhibition sequel 
to 2005's Are You Going to Buy That? The exhibition will showcase new and 
exciting works, including comic strips and individual artworks and 
installations by established and emerging illustrators. Viewers can take 
time out in the 'reading room' to look over final published works by 
exhibiting artists.

Yeah Write! Zine Fair
Saturday 24 November 2007
12pm - 5pm 
Hawthorn Town Hall 

Yeah Write! is a one day fair, where young writers, zine makers and comic 
book creators can acquire a stall to sell, swap and market their works. 
This one day market also includes forums, music and spoken word 
performances,a n exhibition and demonstrations.

Things you need to know:

Participation in Yeah Write! is free; 
- there is no charge for stall holders;
- each stall is basic: chairs and a table. Please think about having your 
work priced and perhaps some posters or displays to promote your stall; 
and? You are required to man your own stall and it can be a long day. 
Consider asking a friend to assist you on the day. 

What else will be going on?
- an exhibition titled Just Looking! featuring zine makers' and 
illustrators' work will be on display at Town Hall Gallery;
- performances by musical groups and spoken word performers on the day;
- free book making workshops for children held on the day; and
- there will also be stalls by independent Melbourne designers showing 
their fabulous fashion, tee-shirts and accessory designs - all available 
for sale!
