The Georges Mora Foundation Calling for Fellowship Submissions The Georges Mora Foundation is pleased to announce a new source of opportunity and support for practicing artists. The Foundation, working in partnership with the State Library of Victoria, the Embassy of France and the Alliance Française has established the Georges Mora Foundation Fellowship to provide the opportunity for artists to reflect, study and experiment in order to generate new thinking to be developed through their art. This new fellowship is intended to provide maximum flexibility and autonomy to each chosen Fellow in their use of resources of the Library and elsewhere, and in their presentation of the outcomes of their research and interpretation. During the Fellowship year the Embassy of France and the Alliance Française offer the Georges Mora Fellow assistance in applying for residency at the Cite International des Arts, Paris. The Georges Mora Foundation is open to any Australian citizen or resident who has a recognised and reputable body of work in the field of contemporary art. There is no age limit. The Fellowship will be judged by a panel of art and cultural professionals and will be awarded by the Board of the Georges Mora Foundation in June 2007. This inaugural Fellowship will attract a stipend of up to $20,000. Each of the other finalists will be awarded $500.00. To apply for this Fellowship, submissions must be received by the Foundation by 5pm on 1 May 2007.
